An artist’s personal style should be like icing on the cake. The layers of spongey cake base might end up covered up by it, but you better believe people can taste when the base isn’t there. Icing by itself is kinda gross.

So, focus on baking your cake first. Icing comes later.

Figure out what you like to draw and just keep drawing!! Whether it’s flowers, people, dogs, dragons, find something that makes you happy when you doodle *_*  It doesn’t even have to be anything specific, heck your favourite can change on a daily or hourly basis!! Experiment with different mediums like pencil or crayons or paint or pens or digital, and doodle wherever and however you want. References help a lot if you’re starting out too, drawing along with your favourite tv show would help a ton, but always remember that there is no wrong answer in art ! What you draw is your creation, don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t come out like how you want, because over time, that the distance between your imagination and your creation will decrease, like how all amazing writers started off as a child learning the alphabet. Keep going at it and don’t give up. It’s okay to have days off and have days when your drawings don’t work out, but that feeling won’t last for long because you’re constantly improving without you even knowing!! There’s really no starting point I can really give besides telling you good luck and don’t stop drawing!
